I’m an independent Creative Director, Artist & Designer based in Los Angeles, CA. For over ten years, I’ve been working in interiors, branding, and surface design.

    Kinley Danger Inc. is an LA-based design workshop specializing in custom wallpaper, upholstery, artwork, and art advising. Kinley’s visual language is simultaneously informed by a strong passion for contemporary art and a keenness for texture, color, space & nuance.

    NOW//WITH is a tech platform delivering social media tools for Creators to build their retail empire by sharing the things they love. My responsibilities as Art Director included building the design team, crafting the brand story/strategy, and deploying that message to the team for execution, front-end web development & social strategy.

  • Beverly Hills, CA

    September 2018 –– November 2019

    Complete design and project management of Cross Campus’ new co-working space in Beverly Hills. Custom millwork, furniture curation & fabrication, custom artwork fabrication, neon & outdoor patio landscape design.

    Managed and prepped all pre-press files for print: making sure all artwork, designs, and layouts, were print-ready. Worked directly with both founders to create custom prints to license exclusively to Restoration Hardware, West Elm, Anthropology, HD Buttercup, etc. Spearheaded these licensing initiatives from concept to print.

    Developed and maintained print/web collateral, graphical standards, & marketing. Worked directly with the principal designer on product development for her lines with The Rug Company and HSN. Directed and developed bespoke wallpaper and upholstery for various commercial and residential projects.

    June 2015 –– August 2015

    Assistant to Member Liaison and Programming Director, creating custom original graphic works + Corporate Membership Decks. An integral part in the planning and execution of events at Dia: Beacon & The Guggenheim. Daily database maintenance and email correspondence between the CEO and potential members.

    February 2015 –– March 2015

    Provide oversight for the physical buildout of gallery booths, common areas, and restaurant spaces. Operational support for exhibitors and vendors on-site during the run of shows, including load-in and load-out processes, booth adaptations, installation needs, climate regulations, and show management relations.

    December 2014 –– February 2015

    Preparation of gallery space, unpacking & install artwork, adjusting lighting, and creating artists’ exhibition cards, price lists, and signage. Dismantle, pack & return shipping of unsold exhibition pieces. Greet guests and conduct in-depth conversations about the artists and gallery programming. Integral in Liz Magic Lazer/Anna Sew-Hoy Exhibition and Art Los Angeles Contemporary.

    Actively pursued new private, public, commercial, and corporate client relationships. Established relations with museums, cultural organizations, and independent curators. Developed and maintained artist bios, exhibition files, delicate art handling, condition reporting, and shipping/receiving logistics. Installations both in and out of the gallery. Daily web and social media maintenance. Exhibition organization: press release creation and distribution, advertising and promotion, managing openings.

    Created presentations for prospective and current clients. Sourced fabrics and furniture from outside vendors. Managed and developed critical social media strategies to increase customer engagement.

    Lead creative sessions for kick-off projects & manage multiple projects from concept through completion. Developed creative programs and design concepts that met the core business objectives of the company to advance the overall brand strategy. Established creative direction for online services and programs; conceptualized high-impact visual concepts for various campaigns & projects.

    Intern Responsibilities: Textile and pattern design, researched related themes for the current season’s collection, hand-painted clothing and accessories for special events, extensive Photoshop design.

    Sales Associate Responsibilities: Restocked merchandise, inventoried new products into the database, maintained clientele ebooks, worked extensively with visual standards, and merchandised high-ticket items.

    Creation of innovative brand materials, including the company’s website, app, print, & social media platforms. Led the creative process for all internal branding: ensuring consistent and engaging design throughout all media platforms. Creation of brand look + feel: understanding audiences, connecting external brand bones to internal brand for seamless alignment.

    Oversaw and executed general office administration and provided exclusive support to the Artist. Created and managed Willardson Studio contact and account list across several platforms. Integral all aspects of the fabrication of significant artworks.
